  Denver is one of a handful of U.S. cities that is home to multiple sports teams. Colorado sports fans take their sports very seriously. Denver is the only city in history to open, construct and break ground on three major league stadiums in a five-year period.

INVESCO Field at Mile High is the home of the Denver Broncos -- www.denverbroncos.com -- who brought home Super Bowl victories in 1998 and 1999. INVESCO Field at Mile High is also home to the Colorado Rapids -- www.coloradorapids.com -- the state's professional soccer team.

Coors Field was built to house Denver's first professional baseball team, the Colorado Rockies -- www.coloradorockies.com .

The Pepsi Center is the home of the Denver Nuggets -- www.nba.com/nuggets --Colorado Avalanche -- www.coloradoavalanche.com -- and the Colorado Mammoth -- www.coloradomammoth.com -- Colorado's professional lacrosse team. The Colorado Avalanche won the 1996 Stanley Cup and made it to the playoffs in 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2004.
