Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital Family Medicine Residency
Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital is a dynamic community hospital located in downtown Denver, Colorado. We are an 8-8-8 program with a focus on excellence in all-around care including inpatient care, obstetrics and a busy outpatient practice focusing on care for the underserved. We are also in the process of transforming our practice into a patient-centered medical home.
We are seeking faculty members who practice full-spectrum family medicine including obstetrics and inpatient care to join our dynamic faculty group. Faculty members provide inpatient care, outpatient care, obstetrical care, geriatrics, and newborn care in addition to supervising residents’ care and teaching residents. Interest in caring for the underserved and experience in teaching family medicine residents is also preferred.

North Colorado Family Medicine a fully-accredited program that has been training family medicine residents since 1974 and is nationally recognized as one of the best FM training programs in the nation. NCFM is a community-based, unopposed residency program that encourages residents to take advantage of the broad spectrum of training that is offered. NCFM is housed in a 25,000 sq. ft. facility, just three blocks from North Colorado Medical Center utilizes EMR and a on-site, full-service lab. About 67 percent of NCFM graduates locate in rural settings while others practice in a wide variety of areas, including private practices, international sites, community health centers, academics, and other settings.

Employed Opportunity: BC Family Medicine Physician - operative OB a plus; Call Schedule: 1:10; Hours of didactic (lecture) instruction per month: 5-10; Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NALS Preferred: PALS; Faculty clinic days or hours per week: 3 half-days of patient care; 2-3 half-days administrative time in office, curriculum development, one-on-one time with residents (can see patients during this time) Other: preference for Obstetrics training; C-Sections a plus; fluent in Spanish a plus; ability to provide quality and comprehensive health care in both in-patient and out-patient setting.North Colorado Medical Center: 398 bed regional tertiary medical center serving patients from a four-state region. Level II Trauma; Level II Nursery. Recent $98 million expansion with focus on cardiovascular and surgical services. NCMC provides the only burn center and air medical transport (North Colorado MedEvac) in Northern Colorado. The Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado Denver Health Sciences Center is seeking a full-time ABFM-certified or eligible family physician for our community based program. The Rose Residency is located at Rose Medical Center, ranked nationally as a top 100 hospital, and is supported by the Colorado Health Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to making Colorado the healthiest state in the nation. Applicants must possess or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Colorado. Applicants must demonstrate experience and competence in teaching and patient care. This is a full-time position with obstetric skills and hospital call required. Women and minorities encouraged to apply. Job Responsibilities: Applicant will be a core member of the Residency Teaching Faculty: Teaches residents, supervises residents and students in the provision of patient care, provides direct patient care in the inpatient and outpatient setting, participates in scholarly activity, serves as a leader and role model for residents.
Required Qualifications: MD/ DO degree, Colorado Medical License, DEA Certificate, Board Certified/Board eligible in Family Medicine. Practices full spectrum of Family Medicine, including Obstetrics and inpatient medicine. Must obtain Medical Staff privileges within the HealthONE LLC d/b/a/ Rose Medical Center and obtain Medical Staff Privileges at University of Colorado Hospital.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in family medicine teaching/practice preferred.
