The St. Anthony North Family Medicine Residency Program seeks experienced and innovative Family Medicine faculty leader to serve as Program Director for a 9-9-9 community based ACGME accredited Family Medicine residency program located in the north Denver Metropolitan area.
The program seeks a candidate with a minimum 5 years of academic experience, preferably in a leadership role, superb communication and team building skills, and a dedicated commitment to providing outstanding educational experiences for our residents and support for faculty development.
Required Qualifications: MD/DO Degree, Graduate Medical Education in an ACGME Accredited Family Medicine Residency Program, ABFM and/or AOBFM certification, DEA Certification, Ability to obtain unrestricted Colorado Medical License and SAN Hospital Credentialing for Family Medicine, ability to practice full spectrum Family Medicine (OB Optional).
Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate will participate in a variety of administrative and clinical roles related to residency, hospital, and clinic operations. This includes participation in direct patient care and supervising and teaching resident physicians and medical students during inpatient and outpatient clinical services.

Swedish Family Medicine Residency (SFMR) in conjunction with Swedish Medical Center is recruiting an experienced Family Medicine physician who practices obstetrics to join their faculty.
SFMR is a community based 6/6/6, fully accredited, unopposed residency that is affiliated with the University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine. PVH/Fort Collins Family Medicine Residency Program
Summary: Coordinate the internal workings of the residency program.
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited medical school. Clinical skills and knowledge of Family Medicine residency program. Unrestricted Colorado Board of Medical Examiners physician license. Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice. Appropriate credentialing through Medical Staff Services. Medical staff membership at either Poudre Valley Hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies or other medical staff affiliated with Poudre Valley Health System.
ADDITIONAL CREDENTIALS: Eligible to provide reimbursable Physician services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid. Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspector General (HHS/OIG) Cumulative Sanction Report or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
Essential Duties: 20% time in teaching resident physicians. 20% time in direct patient care. 60% time in administrative duties. Teaching duties will include (but are not limited to): Direct resident supervision in the ambulatory setting at the Family Medicine Center as well as in the hospital, post-acute care and long-term care settings. Lecture/discussions delivered at resident conferences as assigned. Audio/video/live reviews with resident physicians. On-call supervision of residents outside of regular office hours (shared with all physicians on faculty). Direct patient care will include: Care for an assigned panel of patients in the ambulatory setting at the Family Medicine Center as well as care of patients in the acute hospital, post-acute care and long-term care settings. Scope of care includes general family medicine including minor surgical procedures, orthopedics and obstetrics. Encouraged but not required to develop procedural skills including colposcopy, LEEP, flexible sigmoidoscopy, nasopharyngoscopy, exercise stress testing and vasectomy. Administrative duties include (but are not limited to): Curriculum implementation for all educational aspects of the program. Oversight of the requirements of the Residency Review Commission for all medical educational aspects of the program (other than the model office operation). Design, distribution and implementation of the Resident manual, outlining the duties of the residents in all aspects of the program. Due process for residents, related to leave of absence, eligibility for Boards, and disciplinary issues. Communication and coordination with the private physicians in the community who act as teachers of the residents while on rotation. This will involve recruitment of new teachers when necessary and, with assistance of secretarial staff, scheduling the residents during the academic calendar year with private physicians. Assure the participation of community attendings on all rotations. Coordination of the private Internal Medicine attendings for the inpatient teaching service. Selection process and skill development of the Chief Residents. Create and maintain academic year rotational schedules. Implement elective rotations of the curriculum. Coordinate orientation for the new residents. Coordinate special didactic experiences for residents, including ACLS, ATLS, ALSO, PALS and NRP. Provide oversight of procedural educational experience, including scheduling of procedure clinics and documentation of procedures.
Other duties: Provide excellent leadership skills, supervisory skills, mentoring skills and teamwork skills commensurate with a position of leadership within this organization. Advise/mentor assigned resident physicians with at least three documented performance evaluations per year. Medical record audit and review. Resident recruitment and selection. Attendance at all faculty meetings, voluntary participation in faculty Balint meetings. Precept nurse practitioners and physician assistants practicing in the Family Medicine Center. Participation in operational committees for the Family Medicine Center and PVH medical staff committees as assigned. Teach residents in clinic and hospital setting. Present didactic conferences. Maintain a model clinical practice. Protect confidential information in accordance with policies and procedures. Participate in continuous quality improvement when appropriate. Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
